She giggled, attempting her best bashful smile before looking up at the preacher, the very picture of wide eyed innocence. “Is it my turn, sir?”
The old man nodded kindly. “Repeat after me: I, Ivy, take thee Eric, as my husband.”
“I, Ann-…... I mean...”
There was a ripple of laughter throughout the church before Eric spoke up. “You nervous, sweetheart?”
She smirked. “Never been so sure about anything in my life.”
