It had been a few hours since she’d arrived in LA. Finding a motel to stay in hadn’t been too hard, the dingier the room, the safer she felt. Closing the door to her room, she glanced around, there appeared to be nothing Buffy about this room. Perfect.
She placed her bag on the bed, almost tenderly. She became transfixed on the zipper, hearing each of the teeth on each side rip apart slowly. So transfixed, that she was startled by a scream outside, below her. Walking over to the window, she saw two vampires, circling a girl, taunting her almost.
The girl seemed to be holding herself for a second, all that she could do was watch. For a moment, she had a thousand moves flying through her head, which would allow her to stake the vampires. For a moment, she gripped the window ledge when the Vamps gained the upper hand. And for one final moment, she shed a tear when the Vampires finally pierced the girls flesh. After that moment, she returned to unpacking, not allowing herself to feel guilt over what happened, and forgetting instantly.
Because that’s what Anne would do.
