He’s seen the way Xander looks at her, but with Angel in the picture, and maybe even without, Xander doesn’t have a chance and they both know it. It’s immature and childish, but, deep in the nastier parts of Angel’s soul, he enjoys rubbing the kid’s face in it. In the dark of the Master’s cave her life hangs in the balance. Angel’s the one she wants, the one she’s kissed, but it’s Xander’s lips giving her life. She’s alive and Angel’s, heart and soul, completely and forever, but there will always be a part of him that hates Xander.
