I prefer Wesley with Lilah (they understood each other) and that way Gunn could have Fred.
I think Wesley was starting to get more and more like Giles. And that's not a bad thing. It just means that he didn't only see good or bad but the different shades of gray that went along with. And he was willing to do what he had to do.
