There would be lots of chances to tie in with the series -- I ever planned out in my head the possibility of making is an AU crossover: with the Firefly cast as firefighters and paramedics.
But that would become long and complicated, and I'm trying to dedicate myself to write (and sell) more original fiction. I'm not stepping away from fanfic entirely, but I don't know if I'm ready to take on something like that.
