A/N: Wesley’s actions have proved unchangeable. Fred seeks him out.
“You’ve changed, Wesley. Why? Why did you change?”
Fred startled Wesley as he lay in the hospital bed, pondering his recent grave actions.
“I-I.. what are you doing here?”
“Angel s-said. And, and Gunn said, too.” Fred started.
“Said what? Fred?”
“T-that you were… That you h-had…” Fred was on the verge of a breakdown, when she finally mustered up the courage she needed.
“That you turned against us. Against Connor, Against Angel.”
“… Against me.” Fred whispered.
Wesley stared at her. No words could make this right… could mend the wrongs, or fix what he had broken.
“I just needed to let you know. You’ve let me down, Wesley. “
“Fred… please.”
“No, Wesley. I can’t. You’re a… a…”
Wesley looked at the floor, and then hopefully back at Fred, a single tear moving down his solemn face.
“A monster.”
Welsey was left in the bed; without company, without a friend. Alone.
