Her name was Amanda. She was a pretty little thing; blonde, just how he liked them. She worked in an animal hospital on weeknights, and treated every poor pooch just like it was her own.
Even though he probably looked like a beggar, his face and hair covered with grime, she gave him one of those shy smiles and asked if he wanted something to eat.
Angel almost managed a smile before he shook his head and walked away.
The song came out about a year later, and a small part of him hoped Barry wrote it especially for her.
