Cordelia turned her head to the side and felt for the wound in her neck. Huh...it was gone. At least she could be thankful for small favors. It was bad enough that he'd bitten her where it would show the last thing she needed to do was have to explain it to her father. "This guy bit me at the Bronze and now I'm a vampire." She could just imagine his expression. And then it dawned on her. Oh, God! She was a vampire!
She twirled around the room. She didn't feel any different. And she sure didn't look any different. A smile crossed her face. Nope, no difference at all. For a brief moment the light went out of her eyes as she realized she would never have any of those dreams that she'd secretly had. Especially the one where she'd have a family. A husband who owned his own Fortune 500 company, two children, well one child, there was no since in destroying her figure completely. A big house with lots of servants and a card at Tiffany's so she could buy everything her heart wanted.
Just as suddenly her eyes shown with happiness. There were a lot of good reasons to be a vampire. She ticked them off her fingers one by one. She would never, ever get old. She would remain beautiful forever. A baby would never stretch her body out of shape. If she wanted something she could just take it, after all who was going to stop her now. And probably the most fantastic reason of all to be a vampire; if another guy ever broke her heart she could just eat him.
She couldn't wait to run into Xander! With a huge smile spreading across her face, she left the room to introduce the world, or at least Sunnydale High, to the new Cordelia Chase.
