Tara never should have asked to see what was going on below. She didn’t know what was worse: that darker side of Willow, or seeing the new girl that seemed to ground her better than she ever could.

Tara couldn’t save Will, but the urge to help all of them, the rest of them, never fades. She seizes her chance when she can, after she sees power corrupting another friend of Buffy’s she’s never met.

As pops she back into reality, it feels like she’s being turned inside out, and wonders if this is what Buffy experienced. It’s agonizing, but she almost smiles when she sees him.

“About time, Glinda,” Spike says with that same smirk. “So, what do you say? Are you ready to end an apocalypse?”

She smiles shyly, biting her lip and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “Looks like I’ve got work to do.”
