He wore his sash and his badge proudly, like they carried more weight than they actually did. They were made out of the finest plastic available and “Hall Monitor” was blazoned across the sash in only the most bold and striking lettering. He knew that it struck fear into his classmates. That is why they ignored him, they were too scared. His shouts of “Where is your hall pass?” and “Slow down! No running.” might not have been heeded, but one day, he would show them. He would show them all. And then, they would really be scared of him.
