She thought about starting a journal. They say a diary is all catharsis-bringing and helpful for the purging of badness. But when the slayer picked up the pen and contemplated the crisply lined page, all she could manage was S, tracing it over and over. Buffy didn’t want to write. She longed to scream and rage and punch. Well, I’m raging on the inside, she thought. That’s good enough for now. She laid the pen gently on the desk, closed the fabric-covered book quietly, and slipped out the front door. A little walk to the cemetery would do her good.
