Prompt Prompt 27: BTVS S7/S8
Characters/Pairing (if any) Buffy, Andrew, Faith
Buffy walked into the common room at the hotel, looking for Giles. They needed to discuss the structure of the new Watcher's Council. The watchers needed to do more than watch from ivory towers; the council needed to be involved. Now that there was more than one slayer, there were plenty of fieldwork jobs.
Unfortunately for Buffy, the room's only occupant was Andrew and he was watching one of those awful game shows that populated current television.
“Nothing good on TV anymore, is there?” Buffy said, disgusted with Andrew's choice of show.
“Oh, I can't watch this!” Andrew hid his eyes behind his hands. “This is why I can't watch ice skating; I get too nervous for people!”
Buffy raised her eyebrows at Andrew's outburst. “And yet here you are, watching it,” a glance at his half-covered eyes, “Well, mostly. And nothing preventing you from changing the channel.”
Andrew picked up the remote and clicked. “Doesn't work anymore,” he whined.
“Probably needs batteries.” Buffy changed the channel. “Game show, game show, passions, game show. There really is nothing good on television anymore.” Buffy continued to flip through channels, unable to find anything interesting.
“I'm obsessed with L.L. Cool J and I don't know why.” Andrew's non-sequitur broke the silence.
Buffy turned momentarily to stare at Andrew. She shook her head, deciding he wasn't worth a response.
As Buffy continued to flip through the channels, she finally found something interesting. “Oh, it's reruns of this year's ice-skating regionals.” She plopped herself onto the couch and shoved Andrew over. “I was so disappointed when I missed it.”
“Oh, I can't watch this!” Andrew's moan wasn't acknowledged by Buffy. Getting no response, Andrew rolled his eyes in his classic disgusted look, and left the common room.
Andrew bumped into Faith as he left the common room. Faith frowned at him, as she took in what he was wearing. “Have you been stealing Xander's clothing?” Faith grinned, amused by the thought.
“No!” he said a little too defensively. He hugged his arms tight around his chest.
Faith snickered, her dimples appearing playfully.
“He just helped me buy new clothes at the mall yesterday.” With that, he ran off, unwilling to deal with the scarier slayer.
“Whatever.” Faith shrugged and snorted, watching the geek retreat. Then she turned her attention to the remaining occupant of the common room. Buffy was watching ice-skating and making more comments about the show than the NBC-paid commentators.
“Man, she just two-footed that landing! And I so liked her foot-work on the last sequence.” Buffy didn't even notice Faith enter the room because she was so engrossed.
Faith was reluctant to interrupt Buffy's fun, especially since it was so rare she saw that big a grin on her face. Rather than discuss the new slayers training regimen, she crept into the room quietly. “Has the Albanian skated yet?” she whispered, sinking into the couch.

Prompt Prompt 27: BTVS S7/S8
Characters/Pairing (if any) Faith
Faith didn't understand the dreams when they started. Though she fought with a blond who possessed slayer strength, it was not Buffy, of that she was certain. When she started drowning the girl, she left Robin, ashamed of her behavior, even if it was only in dreams. She was reminded of how easy it would be to fall into old habits. She didn't understand why she always fell for the blonds.
After months of killing the girl in her dreams, she woke in a cold sweat the night she was bested. Wrapped in a heavy blanket, she made a phone call. “Hey, Giles. I've been having these crazy dreams.”

Faith hadn't tagged anything since before she'd dropped outta high school. But when she saw that perfect brick wall, she knew. She couldn't leave it the way it was. She unceremoniously sprayed FAITH in bright red letters over the carefully constructed emblem Buffy had drawn. She was just marking her territory.
