Title: The Lamb is Caught in the Blackberry Patch

Run and catch,

Drusilla’s mummy used to sing to her when she was small. She remembers Mummy’s hands stroking her hair, smooth and soothing, easing her down into sweet dreams.

Now Drusilla sings to her. Her hand trembles as she smooths the bloodied hair of the wreck the monster left. No more Mummy, no more songs, no more sweet dreams. He’s taken them all away and there are no lullabies left. Drusilla’s voice wavers and breaks. She’s trapped inside a nightmare with no hope of waking.

The lamb is caught in the blackberry patch.

You just have to love Dru, and especially this well written
