Prompt: 006, Niska
Word Count: 127
Characters, (Pairing, if any) Niska
When he slashed her wrists, the blood sang to Niska. He could almost see Glorificus smiling at him.
Congratulating him. The blood droplets bloomed on the girl's arm. Bright, shining. Like Glorificus's hair.
Oh, wouldn't the Beast be happy at his task?
He could hear the girl pleading, and it felt so good. He shot his tongue out at the intruding vampire.
No. They weren't to spoil this. His chance. Nobody could stop them---there was a flash of blonde and white.
Niska felt himself falling, purely stunned.
The beast would be furious.
She would cut out his heart. She would suck out his brain dry--
SPLAT!
Title: On a Mission
Author:
poisontearss
Prompt: 006, Phantom Dennis
Word Count: 490
Characters, (Pairing, if any) Phantom Dennis, Cordelia
A/N: Since everyone has been doing these really great, albeit sad Dennis and Cordy stories, here's a happier one...and I don't normally write
fluff. But go figure! Slight Charmed refrence...nothing big ;-) One of these days I'm going to work on an Angel/Charmed x-over, you just wait!
When she died, he'd been pretty pissed. At Angel, who was supposed to protect her. When Angel came to see him, Dennis refused to let
him in. Angel told him that Cordelia had died, had died in her sleep.
How could that be possible? His best friend would never leave him alone. Dennis couldn't fathom Cordy being dead. It was impossible, unfair.
Unjust. He was just begining to love having her here, she was a bright beacon in his otherwise dark world. Cordelia had convinced him that he
could still have a life being undead.
And now she was dead.
Nothing else mattered.
Dennis waited. He managed to get the Watcher's attention, and the Watcher sent him Up There. Dennis followed a bright light. He wondered if this was Heaven, or Limbo. And what waited him on the other side. Curious and half-afraid, Dennis approached the end of the tunnel. He could hear voices there, and wondered what members of his family were waiting for him.
"It's about time. Geez, for a dead guy you'd think you'd be on time. What else are you going to do? Go to the Farmer's Market for some more flannel shirts?" A familiar, well-loved voice quipped at him.
Cordelia. In the flesh. Well, sort of. But then again, he was standing before her. And they could see each other! Dennis felt his heart flop over. To be truthfull, he'd always had a crush on her...but who wouldn't? She was beautiful. "Cordy?" He asked.
"It's not Princess Grace!" She said, laughing and pulling off the sunglasses she was wearing. She looked great. "Dennis!" She ran to him and flung her arms around him. Dennis hugged her back. "They told me I could meet you here."
"They?"
"Ya know." She nodded. "The big bosses." She winked. "Come on. You and I have things to do, people to see. And, we don't have a whole lot of time."
"We're dead, Cordelia. We have all the time in the world."
She laughed. How he'd missed hearing that laugh. Cordelia looped an arm around his waist. "You have so much to learn." She said. "We're on a mission, you and I. It's your compensation for your polygrip of a mom sticking you in a wall for half an eternity." She said. Dennis smiled; he loved to hear Cordelia talk, even if sometimes he didn't understand just what she was saying.
"A mission huh?" Dennis asked. "Since when did you turn into Linda Carter?"

Date: 2007-03-28 10:32 pm (UTC)I really don't get the first one though. Niska was a character in Firefly so I am lost on the Beast and Glorificus references. I am a little slow sometimes so if you could explain, I would really appreciate that. :)
