Zeppo No More

“Ooo, look, it's Mr. Excitement. On another life-or-death doughnut mission? Or are we just cruising for bimbos again, giving them lessons in lack of cool?”

The lion in Xander’s chest sleepily opened his eyes, grumbling deeply. It made Xander smile.

“What?”

The lion stretched and growled low. He shook out his mane as the yawn pulled at his mighty jaws. Xander’s smile widened, but he kept on walking.

“What?”

Cordelia’s stridency was stimulating the lion’s every nerve, making him stand tall, head thrown into the wind. Xander walked away, chest pounding, and swelling with every step.

“What?”

The lion roared.
