For a girl who’s filled with memories, Eve has a few that stick out in her mind, small things that any mortal wouldn’t think twice about. At least that’s what she thinks. She didn’t get her memories like everyone else; she didn’t get them through life and have them happen as she got older.

One day she wasn’t even a thought, the next…she was twenty-five.

She was created, made of flesh and bone. Eve’s mind was filled with facts and information important to the firm, important to her job and aided her in keeping Angel and his crew in line. The Senior Partners also filled Eve’s mind with memories to help her achieve that ‘human connection’ they felt she needed to gain whatever in’s she could within the tight knit group.

The one memory that is Eve’s favorite has to be the one that came when she was – humanly – six months old. She remembers the fear, the feel of the pen in her hand and the scratching it made against the paper. Eve remembers the smell of his aftershave as he loomed over her, a sadistic smile on his lips as they watched the ink glow and then turn red and then the moment she felt her heart beat as he took the pen from her.

It was the moment she became mortal, it was the first time she felt alive.
