I knew I should have followed my first instinct years ago. I should have ran and left Sunnydale and all its inhabitants behind me. But I stayed for a pair of deep chocolatey eyes.

And here I am stuck, waiting for the battle to end all battles to begin. The only good thing is that at least I’m not down there on the edge of the Hellmouth. This is as close as I want to be. Thank you very much.

It’s weird but I thought Andrew would be the scared one. And I would be the one making all manner of fun of him. But I’m the one terrified. At least I was until he mentioned bunnies.

Bunnies? Hoppy, Floppy Bunnies.

Leaving him was going to be hard. Thankfully she’d learnt years ago that life wasn’t easy. Otherwise she’d be kicking and screaming at the unfairness of it all. But she really couldn’t complain. As lives went hers had been a pretty good one. Her only regret was not getting to be with Angel. Her Angel.

With a soft heartfelt sigh Cordy walked towards him. The love she had for him written plainly on her face. This would be the last time she’d see him; she wasn’t about to resist one last kiss.

The kiss went on forever but lasted only moments.

When at last Cordy pulled away she was shocked that the phone hadn’t rang. “I don’t get it. The Powers That Be didn’t say anything about my staying. This was just a one shot deal. I’m not supposed to be in this world anymore. I’m dead.”

“Maybe The Powers That Be decided they owed you a bigger one. Or maybe we’re getting a second chance to get us right.” Angel smiled down at Cordelia his eyes shining with love. “Whatever the reason I’m not complaining. I’m just glad you’re back.” And he pulled her into his arms...Right where she belonged. -
