Summary: What if they hadn't been so quick to leave the library afterwards...?



Willow purred as she kissed the cleft in his chin. "You know, I never knew you could have so much fun in a library."

"Come on, Will. You used to hang out here all the time before..."

"Yeah, but then it was all with the books and the hiding out from bullies and the..." She giggled as she turned away from Xander, melting back into his embrace, "...librarians... Hey! You better pay attention here, mister!" She wagged her finger, admonishing the one who watched them.

"Don't tell me you still have a crush on him?" Xander nuzzled her neck, letting his hands wander downwards.

"I'm sure he used to think I was his groupie or something. He was always trying to teach me stuff... y'know, Dickens is better than Koontz, teabags are evil, always be home before dark... worked out great, dontchathink? I bet he's all dusty inside, and - oh yeeea. Keep doing that."

"Make me." The words stuck in his throat when she quickly leaned her head back and snapped at his earlobe, her teeth drawing a few drops of blood, and he obligingly kept working his fingers.

"You're so sweet when you think you're in charge, Xander..." She looked towards the cage again, rubbing her backside against him. "Wanna give him the full show? I can tell you're... up for it..."

He nodded at the figure on the floor. "Don't you think we should get out of here?"

"Oh, you're no fun." She pouted as she broke away from him and knelt down next to Cordelia's body. "Pity. I mean, speaking of old crushes... The three of us could have had a lot of fun if we'd made her. Plus, hey, boobies. I miss Darla sometimes."

"Our orders -"

"Yeah, yeah. God, you're so Masterwhipped." She stood up, in human face now, that patient look he remembered from before. "Really, Xander. I mean, sure, he's powerful with the prophecies and so forth, but he's sooo stuffy and stuck in the middle ages and just who designed his precious factory anyway? Do you think he would even have kept you around if you hadn't been mine? So just be a good boy and Willow will keep taking care of you long after mister Master is just dust in the wind..." She grinned, put her arms around his neck and with her tongue traced the little trickle of blood along his cheek up to his ear, her whisper vibrating in his head. "You know the best thing that ever happened to you was when I killed you."

She pulled him towards her, kissing him hard, feeling him respond as they once again began losing themselves to extacy... then abruptly broke off and started leading him towards the door.

"And what about him?" Xander looked at the horrified and grief-stricken librarian, still locked inside the book cage. "Shouldn't we kill him?"

She looked at Giles, her head cocked to one side, then scoffed. "Nah. He's harmless. He never does anything but watch."

I really like this, particularly the last line. So what happens to Darla in your wishverse? I always wondered what happened to her in the wishverse because if Buffy never came to Sunnydale there would have been no reason for Angel to kill her.

Thanks! I did actually at one point outline "my" Wishverse history, but I think it was lost along with some other WIPs... Basically, I can picture Angel killing Darla at some point - Could be a very emotional moment; Angel threatens to kill her if the Master doesn't stop doing something-or-other, Darla feels pretty sure Angel won't do it, but the Master, being evil and all, more or less forces Angel's hand. This would be some time after the Harvest, so that Darla and Willow have had time to bond, of course... That would also give Willow an "in" to coming closer to The Master and gradually becoming one of his closest henchmen (or is that un-PC? Henchpersons?) and also giving her a personal agenda to keep her puppy alive indefinitely to torture him.

The wishverse is a lot of black fun.

Said it before, I will say it again, you are the master of that last line. I honestly haven't read much Wishverse fic. It seems, at least to me, to be one of those things that is sorely lacking.

Loved Willow's "Plus, hey, boobies". I don't know why but that made me laugh so damn hard.

Thanks! VampWillow is a fascinating character to play around with - she's sexy, she's fun, she's evil (which is sexy AND fun in itself), but at the same time she's one of the saddest characters in the entire show, because it seems like part of her knows she is wrong... which, of course, should be made fun of ;-)
