Prompt 099 Desperate Housewives
Characters/Pairing (if any) Fred
Housekeeping came for Fred’s room an hour after Illyria rose. The bosses might be charging off to save the girl, but Wolfram and Hart employed many people who recognised irreversible unnatural death on sight. They knew Mr Wyndam Pryce wouldn’t want to keep the room as it was.
Fred’s room was explicit. In death, in resistance, in desperation, Fred had tumbled the bed hopelessly, sheets twisted. Sweat, vomit, a full bedpan, all bore reeking testament to her struggle, the last hours unable to leave this cosy, beloved prison.
Dying is a messy business. Let housekeeping take that away at least.

Date: 2009-01-07 11:05 pm (UTC)God, that's still one of the most agonizing hours of television I've ever seen - other deaths in the J'verse were sudden, but this...tore my heart from my chest and proceeded to dissect it into tiny pieces while I was forced to watch, unable to look away.
And you've brought it all back, and I adore it.
(color me massochistic, k?)
