Title Living Situations
Author LadySophieKity
Rating T
Word Count 216
Prompt 139, Motel Hell
Characters/Pairing (if any) Cordy
A/N: this takes place in Buffy season 3, after Lover's Walk.
Cordelia wrinkled her nose in disgust as she took a look at her motel room. It was an awful place already, but compared to how she had previously lived, it made it seem even worse. If this was a typical riches to rags story, she’d have the hot guy to save the day. The now familiar twinge of pain in her stomach started up again, reminding her that any chance of that happening was now gone.
She shook her head, attempting to clear her thoughts. She was no cry-Buffy, she wasn’t going to mope around about every new development that came her way. Cordelia forced a smile on her face and turned on the TV, deciding to wait until later to work on her homework. After a long day at work and school, she needed some time to herself.
Unfortunately, the reception was bad again, Joe and Susie next door were arguing too loudly (she knew from experience that soon it would turn into another loud activity) and worst of all, she saw a few spiders on the wall. If there was one thing Cordelia hated, it was creepy crawlies. She’d prefer a vampire any day. Just in case someone up there was listening and deciding to take her seriously, she whispered, “I didn’t mean that.”
