Title: Frankenstein
Author:
angelus2hot
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 130
Prompt: 142(all of the Frankstein movies)
Characters/Pairing: Daryl Epps
Frankenstein wasn't real. He was just a monster created by Hollywood to help young men get laid. Or so he had always believed.
He couldn't count how many times he'd taken a girl to that particular monster movie. It was always guaranteed to have the girl in his lap shivering from fright and he would be one more step closer to getting lucky.
And it had always worked before, back when he was the star football player and looked like a movie star. Before he died and was brought back by a brother too scared to let him go.
Now he looked like the monster he'd always used to get under the young cheerleader's skirts. And one glance in the mirror proved to him that Frankenstein was real after all.

Date: 2009-11-05 11:39 am (UTC)sometimes people, through not being able to let go of a loved one, can cause more pain to that person than they imagine possible.
It's also a great reminder of something that an awful lot of adaptations of the Mary Shelley original miss, that the so-called monster was the victim, not the criminal.
Can't recall his name, but the kid with the porn collection that scared Xander was the only evil character in that ep, whereas Daryl's kid brother became a monster because he loved his sibling too much.
Thank you,
Still under Willow & Tara's spell,
Ray.
