People have described the feeling as being peaceful. Stark, clear, fine-edged but, more or less, peaceful.
 

It's not.
 

It's overwhelming. Chaotic. And that fine edge? Razor fuckin' sharp.
 

The closest thing he could compare the feeling to was fire. Burning. Your skin. Your muscles. Your bones. The broken, twisted remains of your humanity; your soul. On fire.
 

You just........ burn. And burn. And burn.
 

Until the only thing left of 'you', is that ember. That ember that sits -- hungrily glowing -- where your soul use to be.
 

People have described being turned or being reborn as peaceful.
 

It's not.
