Well, no, I can't because it's insufficient. But I will just say I loved this, and there are far too many moments that made me squee to pick them all out. A few I can recall from the pack are the first slow shot of Dru; the way you've matched seasons with moods in the music; getting the Adam-kills-Walsh spot on the right note; We Are As Gods... and the fact that even though I think I know this show inside out you're reminded me of so much I love and had half-forgotten.
This is marvelous. I will say that the sprightly movements of 'Dance of the Hours' corresponding to the last two seasons with all their dark moments is kind of disturbing, but I imagine that was part of the point.
ok...So I'm hoping it was what you had been planning, but during the season six-seven overviews (the two darkest seasons in my opinion) the music, just made me laugh. The whole time watching I was reminded of all the things I love about the show, and I probably laughed in all the wrong disturbing places, but I had to squee the whole way through. This is so awesome!
Wow, that is fantastic. I love how spot-on each moment was when you had a break in the music, and the light tone matched with S6 and S7 cracked me up. I admit, I got a little giddy when it was building up to the end there. *applauds*
I loved the way the music made the little moments from Buffy's life feel delicate and lovely, and then how that was interspersed with all these violent and horrific images that were also part of her life. And that made the small and delicate ones feel even more precious. Which in turn made the moments of violence and sudden death even more emotionally piercing.
